Hi all, I was setting up the DSI with the LX200R 12" on the night of the 21st and thought I would turn it onto comet McNaught and see what I would get in the way of an image.
I think that it is a bit overcooked but it was really just an experiment to see what I would get out of it.
I think that I will get better results after the full moon when it's further away and dimmer.
The exposure time 0.09 second by 100 images in Luminescence.
Imaged with Envisage, processed in MaximDL and finished with Paint Shop Pro.
The telescope was in Alt/Az mode and tracked with Sky Atlas Pro.
Thanks John, after the full Moon I will be chasing a few more images. I'm hoping that being further away and dimmer I'll get some better shot through the 12".
There should be some tail left I hope.
