Best one seemed to be the raw colour mode for the toucam. It has been a very long time since the seeing was good enough for 5fps in 120 seconds. I managed at least 300 odd frames for each colour.
Took the time to rgb split the bmp’s after centring via ppmcentre. Each of the colours was then processed in registax 3 and then astra image. Final combining in astra image and the photoshop to get it to the natural “eyepiece view” I like.
Very happy with the results for 40 odd degrees. We had the rarish E to ENE winds which brings the nice laminar winds off the ocean.
Final temps for mirror and ambient were 7.5 degrees
Good Effort Dave particularly under the conditions, seeing hasn't been all that good during the past couple of nights. Just out of interest I viewed Jupiter in broad daylight on the same day and was amazed at how much detail could be seen.
Nice work there Dave, cant wait until it's jove imaging season again. Hoping to have a go for the first time this weekend myself (although a cooling unit would also be nice!)
