Was scanning along the terminator tonight when I came across two bright dots just on the dark side of the terminator. I quickly attached the camera and managed about 16 images. The seeing was terrible with the moon wobbling like jelly on a plate. Hence the image is quite blurry. Registax was used to stack 16 x 1/15 sec exposures, f4.8, ISO 200.
Checking the Virtual Moon Atlas reveals the two bright dots to be Dorsa Argand and Mons Harbinger bathed in sunlight as the sun rises above the lunar horizon.
Now, now - I've been told, in this forum, when I asked what Saturn would really look like through my binoculars, that, in space, not only can no one hear you scream, but no one knows which way is up, so anyway will do!
