metorite on aussie day

hi guys,
hope you all had a great Australia day

I tookthe family and the mexicans to homebush bay
they showed some movies and had a band playing (wonder brass) which were pretty funky
more importantly the rugrats had a stage show (cheryl took about 70 shot of them )

we capped off teh evening by looking for the comet, and gee is it getting faint now . that was at about 9pm.
at about 9:30 heading back to the car i was looking up at the sky... as one with this sort of interest does and about half way between the bottom of orion and the ground headng west was the most brilliant firey glowing object i have ever seen, this meteorite was soooo bright, it glowed orange and had a huge orange halo surrounding it. it was moving fairly slow....

did anyone see it or are we all crazy?

Fuel dump eh....
Those F1 11's have a lot to answer for.
As a teenager I truely really thought that the ALIENS were here when 3 F1 11's let off their afterburners through low cloud right over my head. LOL I think it was Australia Day weekend as well.
