Lostock Comet McNaught "up close" Meade DSI

Hi All,

A sequenced collage of three comet McNaught images. The image on left is a 15 second exposure at 9.05pm. The centre "touchdown" image is a 30 second exposure at 9.11 pm. The image on the right is a 1.24 minute exposure at 9.20 pm. The images have not been post processed or enhanced in any way (stiching excluded). The trees give a good perspective as to the size of the comet nucleus and tail. The Meade DSIc was attached to a 28mil Pentax lense with a Mogg Adapter and set on a camera tripod.

Regards
Gerry Aarts

That certainly does put the comet size into perspective. Very very nice take on the comet, Gerry

Nice one Gerry, was wondering how the DSI would go! Lovely shots.

Great to meet you at IISAC, too.. btw did you lose a laptop case? Someone lost one, and it has one of your articles in it.
