Poor Old Saturn

Poor Saturn was feeling pretty left out tonight so I snapped off a quick 9 images to make it feel better before putting the scope away.

My best effort yet. One day I hope to capture some detail as well.

Yeah, poor Saturn, sadly neglected at the moment.
I did a bit of USM and Tone curves on your image, and a little more detail came out. The others could probably do a much better job, but I need the practice.
I had a chance to film Saturn through a 12" and a 16" last night. So much better than my 10"!

Thanks jjjnettie. So what is USM?? Unusual Saturn Massaging? I haven't played around much with colour and tone adjustments. I usually just stretch the histogram a little and leave it at that. I can see I will have to learn how to do some more exotic processing in the future.

Here's the two piccies I took on saturday night, using borrowed scopes.
I used my video camera to take them, then stacked them in Registax.
