Full well depth of QHY8L

Hi,
I'm trying to work out the optimum ADU for my QHY8L so I can take some decent flats.
Does anybody know what the full well depth is for the QHY8L? I can't see it in the specs I have for the camera.
Thanks.

Steve

I'd like to know how long exposure/brightness of a flat box for an SBIG STF-8300C, shooting through an 85mm/f/5.3 refractor...

I know there is a way to calculate the ADU for a light per exposure time etc in MaxIM/PI, but can someone walk us through it step by step?

Interesting that the full well depth was never published.

The full well depth of the original QHY8 with 7.8 micron pixels is 25,000e, so I would assume yours would be the same as it has the same size pixels.

Steve and Lewis - As both of your cameras are 16 bit and full saturation is 65,550 ADU, you would set your ADU for flats around the 21,000 to 25,000 range.

EDIT: Just had a look at the data sheet from Sony for the ICX413AQ chip (as used in the QHY8L) and there is no mention of full well.

Thanks so very much, appreciate your time and the answer.
I'll try to recover the hair I've pulled out and somehow re-attach it.
