Iphone shots of Jupiter and Sirius

Here are some shots of Jupiter and the star Sirius taken with my iPhone 8 hand held against my Delos eye piece and 10” dob

Not easy to capture Jupiter and it’s moons during drift through the eye piece

Took about 12 attempts to capture it as the iphones lens has to focus exactly on the exit pupil image of the Delos eye piece ( need patience and surgeons hands )

The iphone will never replace your eyeball!

Where's your new scope?

Peter,

Your correct , you can’t replace eyeballing the universe

I’ve been away for 10 days visiting my 90 year old dad at Forster and my older brother at Coffs Harbour

Waiting for some clear nights in Sydney and at my holiday house down near Ulladulla to get the mount and scope aligned and start imaging with the DSLR

All the iPhone shots I’ve posted were taken late January early February

Haven’t been near a telescope for nearly 2 weeks ( I’m suffering from aperture fever and stargazers anxiety)

Try using the video feature and then screen capture the shot during play back. I did that with Saturn once.
