ASI120MM-S vs QHY5 Guiding

Have used my QHY5 for guiding around 3-4 times and it seems quite good for a budget guide camera.

Wanted to ask if anyone has any experience with the ASI120MM-S as a guide camera and how it would stack up against the QHY5?

Guiding performance shouldn't really change unless the pixels are of significant different sizes.
Finding stars might get harder with a bad cam, but the ASI120mm and QHY5 have the same sensor anyway and you should have no worries finding stars even with an OAG.

I use my ASI120mm with an OAG on a 8" f/5 newt with no problems!

+1 for the above but are you thinking of buying a 120 specifically for guiding?

If so, have a look at the ZWO 290 and 174 mini...

Thanks for the advice.

I was thinking of changing so I can double it up and use it for solar.
