February wetter in WA and NSW ?

Next Sunday (Feb 4) my Australia trip begins and saw of the bom website that Feb gets wetter in NSW too, so more clouds and rain ?
Then I'll probably spend my stay in Qld where it is better.

What are your ideas ?

I'd stay away from North Qld, the monsoon season is setting in, getting very cloudy and wet there. Anywhere below Rockhampton will be a bit better. Another thing to note is that in the southern states the heat tends to be dry and a lot more tolerable than the constant humidity of the tropics.

I can confirm that February is traditionally our stormy season in mid-east NSW. This year seems to have started early as we have had some cracking storms mid to late January, but every year so far my water tank has filled and overflowed in February.
