Question SynScan with Cartes Du Ciel?

Hi,
Does anyone with a SynScan hand controller for there EQ6 etc,
use this in conjunction with Cartes Du Ciel?
If so under the telescope setting in CDC then select scope interface.
What do you use?
Encoder or Ascom or is there something else?

If you do use CDC with SynScan how do you find it?

Thanks for any replies.

Hi Dave.
If you draw a blank here there is a yahoo group dealing with CDC and you should be able to find out what you need to know there.

Thanks Geoff. I have spent most of the day working it all out.
I now have full control of the scope via CDC.
Very happy. I now have a bigger list of objects to choose from.

Did you use the Ascom drivers or the Nexstar 5 protocol? or another one? In the manual it tells you how to connect.

Yes but it was not a simple as that for me . Yes I used Ascom drivers and nexstar 5 protocol and i had to use com port 5 and my cdc did not have the drivers at first. Then I only had usb ports. No RS-232 or interface cable. But I do now
