Helix

Hi Guys,

So this is my second serious crack at an astro pic.

It is by no means as good as the vast majority of pictures people are posting but for a beginner I don't think it's too bad......I've still got a long way to go though!
I've got to get some more time on processing and learning the ropes....I think this will make a difference in my final product.

Taken on a Skywatcher 750/150, HEQ5pro and 550D.
91 x 60 second subs (there was 120 subs but my guiding was shocking last night....need to sort that out too!)

Cheers Graham.

I had a play with Startools last night and it sure is a great program....made this shot look a lot better! I'll buy a license over the weekend I think, well worth the $65

Hi Jon, very nice image for a 90 min capture, you can always add more data to it over time and get more of the outer shells.

Simon - its called the Helix due to its spiral structure, imagine standing on top of a spiral staircase looking down. That's how we see the Helix from earth.
