Meade 12" Lx200, GPS and Extras

Hi All, SOLD

I have chosen a different path in Astronomy, and Imaging, therefore I am putting my newly aquired 12" Lx200, GPS on the market.

I have only had this Scope for 3 months or so, and it is in perfect condition, not a scratch or smudge on it.

Since I have owned it, it has hardly been used, other than to be placed on a peir and aligned.

The Scope was shipped to me from an IIS member in Perth, and it arrived in perfect condition, with a responsible courier in it's "Custom Made Aluminium Transport Case", which of coarse will be included in the sale.

The Transport Case houses the Scope snugly, with high density foam surrounding the entire instrument for protection whilst in travel, or storage.

The Case is complete with four carry handles, wheels, and 4 padlocks for security.

To the pending buyer, i will arrange suitable, and responsible courier from this end to ensure the Scope arrives in the condition it left.

I will ship the Scope free, to anyone in Victoria, however, for Interstae buyers I would be asking a 50% shared cost, this is however negotiable.

So, For Sale is:

Meade 12" LX200. GPS. UHTC, (like new), Heavy Duty Field Tripod, Finder Scope, Super Plossl 26mm EP, (standard), Controllers, Data Cable, Meade UHTC 2" Diagonal, and of coarse the Transport Case, Plus 72 page Instruction Manual, and the latest update for,
Auto-Star 2

Also I will Include:

Meade, Micro Focuser.
Meade, Ultra Wide Angle 14mm EP, with 2" Mount.
Pentax SNC XL40mm EP, 2" (surperb for very wide field viewing)
Meade, series 4000 Focal Reducer-Flattener. F/6.3
Meade, Colour Filter Set, #12 # 23A # 58 # 88A
Meade, Nebula Filter, 2" (#911N )
Celestron LPR Filter, 2" No 94127A

Also Included, is the Lumicon Giant Easy Guider, with Focal Reducer, great for imaging.
I recently purchased this from a IIS member at $500.00

The insured replacement value of this package is well over $11,000.00au

I will be asking $7500.00 for the complete package, free of shipping cost to Victorian Buyers, and 50% shared for Interstate Buyers

If interested please PM me, or phone me on 0410946090 Mobile.

Cheers Leon SOLD

Oh well... the 12" isn't for everyone I guess. Can I ask what path you've chosen to wander down now? Are you down-sizing.... or going EQ... or Dob?

Thanks Houghy.

And Omaroo, i am going down the path that i should have gone before i got so excited and bought the 12".

The Scope is great, and dose everything it is supposed to, but i do have a fondness for Refractors and EQ Mounts, and this is what i should have done in the first place.

I am not a big visual person, and do prefer to image rather than observe.
