Hi eveyone,

Merry Christmas to you all seeing as I have you here!!!

Now my Question,
Does anyone know of a complete Cat/List of all the celestal objects in photo form??
Sort of like a phone book of images of the various objects in the sky.
Pages of tumbnail type shots of the objects with a short explanation and specs etc......
I would like a hard copy of this......not to worried about price.
Would be a nice companion to my Goto System.

I dont know Harb, but their must be hardcopy stuff out there for sure.

I depend on Skymap pro 10 astro software for thumbnail images and related object info, if it doesnt have an image in its files it will download one of the net by request and they are usually nice images. Can drive scopes too.

Yeah I hope they make something in book form......sometimes I just like to thumb through some "real" paper......its nice.
It would be great to just look up objects via a picture and punch it into the goto then see the real thing!!

You can make a pretty good printout of all the Messier objects with TUMOL. The Ultimate Messier Object Log. You can choose what will be on each page, eg. photo, finder chart, sketch circle, description etc. Download it for free.

Mine are in plastic sleeves to protect them.

Here's a screen shot of the M1 page in Master Page setting.
Also of it in Picture View mode.
There are many different ways to view, organise and print the list.

TSOL, The Simple Observing Log is also useful for astrophotographers and visual observers.
They made one for the Caldwell objects but I couldn't get it up and running.
