Image size question

Hi all. The details> in the thread posted by houghy, just below,ie; Linux-kstars, when I load the page, I have to scroll way to the right to see all the image. Anyone else have to do this? According to Firefox,(right click, image properties), the image is 1280 x 754 @ 66.95 kB. Yet, others have posted 60 kB images & require less scrolling. Houghy has resized it, but it still comes in as above. What is wrong?
It displays diff. in my other browser,(smaller), 800 x 470 @56kB.
Comments please.
L.
Is this just the way that each browser interprets the code?

ps. When I load his link, it opens at a reduced size of 672 x 396 pix @ 66.95kB.

Are you sure it's not cached in your first browser? Have you hit F5 (or ctrl-f5) to ensure it reloads the resized image?

Hi Mike, Have tried all suggestions. Still get a very large image > 1280 x 754 @ 66.95 kB. I can mag or reduce etc, but the first loaded pic is always as above. L.
ps. all other pics load O.K. ie; 800's x or 640's x = no probs.
pps. Closed Firefox down = same.
ppps. Closed other down = same.
still

Strange. It's 800 X 471 for me.
In Firefox you could try deleting your cache. Tools --> options --> privacy -->cache --> clear. maybe not a good option if your on dial-up.
Or you could go to tools --> options --> advanced --> browsing and select "resize large images to fit browser window"
