Red channel + 1.5x resample Saturn

Hi all

Here's a further processed red channel from my 5 minutes of good seeing on the 19th.

Captured with the 5x powermate, DMK21AF04 + Astronomik Red filter.

Stacked 800 frames + 1.5x mitchell resample in Registax.

I wish the other channels looked that good!

Got to love the red channel when imaging Saturn.

When I do an RGB split and process the red channel I think "...this is looking great!...".

Then I get to the green channel and think "mmm.....this is looking average..."

and get to the blue channel and go "....this is looking bloody terrible!!..."

As you said Mike wish they all looked like this!

John sums it up nicely re the colour channel stakes. Here's an idea, what if we get a near infra-red filter and do a run with it the red and the green and process the near infra-red as Red, the Red as Green and the Green as Blue... what do you reckon
