SOLD: Meade LXD500B Mount with Dual Axis Drives +

I have upgraded to a go-to mount so my Meade LXD500B Heavy Duty EQ Mount is for sale.

The mount supports 8" SCTs etc and comes with

• Dual drives (Japanese made)
• RA and Dec drive cables
• Central control unit
• Hand slewing unit with 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x
• 2x counterweights
• Battery pack
• Bronze gear upgrade (the B in "500B")
• Strengthened Tripod
• RA and Dec lock LEDs inbuilt (for easy location in the dark)
• Allan keys

The tripod needed strengthening to make it really stable, this has been done by fixing the leg position permanently. The setup is equal to an EQ5 with dual drives which will cost around $750, so $350 sounds about fair.

Have you ever disassembled this mount?
IS there any noticeable backlash/gear problems or any other damage?

I have never disassembled this mount, but it has been in the past as there are red LED's near the RA and DEC levers, you turn them on at night and in dark skies it makes it easirer to find the levers. As for problems, I have had none, I aligned the scope to south and tracking worked correctly - not to sure how to measure backlash. I am not experienced enough with this type of mount to judge whether it is OK astrophotography, but I know it is OK for visual use.
