Hi all
On the 11th December 2006, I was at Terrigal beach hunting the Mars/Mercury/Jupiter conjunction, but couldn't find them due to poor transparency and not knowing exactly where to look.
But I did find a conjunction of sorts - the Moon and Saturn were fairly high in the north, and within the same field of my DSLR @ 300mm.
Here's a shot of their wide conjunction - a composite of 2 exposures. The moon at 1/60s f/13 ISO100, and Saturn at 1.0s f/13 ISO100, using my 350D + 75-300mm stock lens @ 300mm.
The 2 exposures were combined in photoshop, and some levels+sharpening were applied to the moon.
At full-res, Saturn was an over-exposed oval shape.. needed more focal length to be able to resolve it into rings + disc
Thanks for looking.
