holy smoken jo batman the moons red!!

took this tonight, 7 December 2006 about 11pm aest, or just a few minutes ago of the rising moon and how it looked through the soup of smoke and dust. as it stood it would have been 2 fists up above the horizon.

taken canon 350D with canon 200mm f2.8 L lens on a very rickety tripod.

btw i HAVE NOT EDITED THE IMAGES, just used windows resizer on the originals

Nice one Dave, the moon was shining brightly until it was time to get up for Saturn, then the clouds came over of course.

Nice Moon, I saw the same thing last night as it rose above the horizon and thought to myself what a nice pic this would make, and here you are, the perfect shot of it.
Nice and red.
Looks beautiful, well done
and , by the way, ... not sure that there's a cure for it but I believe that the contemporary best practice guidelines recommend a management regimen to control the disorder of "Aperture Fever" until it passes (you have to let it run it's course). The best practice guidelines recommend saving pennies until you have enough to get more aperture and then start the process again...I'm waiting for a vaccine or patches...
