yep you couldnt even sit on that and get that temp. NYD 2006 we had 45 degrees, in Newcastle, and you felt every notch of degree in that. Was it a dry heat or humid? Somehow I can handle dry heat better than humid, I just fall apart in the humidity.
Whoa - that's hot! My weather station recorded 41.9 a few days back but because I set the recording increments at 4 hour intervals I cant be certain at what time of day this was recorded. And I have the temp gauge positioned under the carport.
Thats warm alright, just about fry bacon and eggs on the footpath.
I remember experiencing a 46ºc day while on a geological survey in the early Eighties in the Tanami region, we were well stocked and prepared but still did it tough. Since then temps in the 30's just dont bother me anymore, it's like my body has retained a memory of that temperature level.
The temperatures you get there are crazy, folks!
I am not sure, I could bear them, the hottest temperatures I've ever experienced here in Germany must have been around 40, and this almost killed me. You can do something against cold weather, dress up, put on the heating, but there is simply no way to escape those high temperatures (well, if you have air conditioniong, maybe, I don't).
I simply associate Christmas with cold temperatures and snow - your crazy upside-down weather!
