Jove 29th March

This time I setup the scope earlier in the evening, leaving it in the shed to keep the dew off it. At 3am this morning the mirror was perfectly primed. The seeing was slowly undulating between 8 and 2. (I had to edit great chunks out of the avi's with Virtual Dub.)
Instead of using the 1.25 barlow, I used the 2" and I reckon it had a lot to do with the end quality of the images. The ep of choice was a 12.5mm plossl.
Again, still, forever will be it seems, I used the Panasonic DV camcorder afocal, handheld. 9x zoom used.
Processing- Virtual Dub, Registax 3, Zoombrowser Ex for USM, tone curves and saturation and Irfanview for final touchups.
Not Hubble, more like an instamatic shot through the porthole of Mir. But I'm very happy with the detail.

Very nice JJJ, you have captured some nice detail in the banding and the colours look great as well.

Cheers
