Yay! New 3D printer ready and printing!

Yep, it has finally arrived!

The most detailed print I've managed to attempt so far is a model of the copernicus crater with the starter pack of silver PLA filament in the box.

I'm getting a big box of various filaments including ABS and glow in the dark filament arriving next week and will be trying some of the suggestions you guys came up with several weeks ago.

I've got my eye on a space race chess set http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2078833

I think printing miniatures would be really fun; instead of a catalogue I could show customers 3d printed miniatures of scopes they could special order.

Now I have to think of stuff that's actually useful... so far I've I made a little document holder and a clip in the shape of a shark, and a mini tape dispenser gun.

Might be an interesting project to fully 3d print a scope. Not that it would be economical but it would be fun and educational.
