Decembers Fraser Coast open astronomy night at River Heads was a bit light on telescopes and astronomers, but busy with locals and visitors celebrating and enjoying the 9/10 seeing conditions with much christmas cheer.
20-30 people enjoyed most all of the popular objects and faint fuzzy's between 7pm amd 12.30 am, and santa's slay made an appearance at 1900 hrs high in the eastern sky (thanks iridium 70).
There will be another open star party in January and all are welcome.
Location maps are available for interested stargazers and astronomers.
Wishing everyone a safe and merry christmas,
Steve
