Greetings from Perth
Hi Thought I would post a short message after joining IIS. Started looking up about 9 months ago and joined the local ASWA group.
So far have built an 8" dob and an EQ platform and just added a 10" SW880 to the collection.
Have a small web page with some of my activities, still being sorted out at http://members.optusnet.com.au/~mar.dav/dls006.html which also has links to many other activities I am involved in.
May I take this opportunity to wish every one seasonal greetings and clear skies.

Dave, great to see a few new WA members signing up recently.. they've been scarcely represented until lately.
Hope you enjoy your stay and look forward to your contributions!

Welcome Dave, you are quite handy with the tools to make that scope and platform. Just back from WA and I really enjoyed the birds there and I am a bit of a bird watcher here in the eastern states.
Cheers

G'day, Dave. Welcome to the madhouse.
I'm a relative newcomer myself but have found all the lads and lassies on the site most welcoming (and forgiving) of my presence and posts.
I have just been reading your site information; I trust that your next 30 years will be better than the last 30. Good luck with everything.
Oh yes, one final thing: A keyboard for CW . . . how dare you?

Sorry about that but there is a reason. Several years ago I was ascending a very large tree to run a pulley for a long wire. When suddenly I found myself in a situation of descending much faster than I went up, it was quite painless until I stopped, landing on a pile of rocks, resulting in total dislocation and multiple fractures of my right wrist.. No more 30 WPM with the old pump handle! ce la vie
Moral of the story: Don't climb trees after having brain surgery HI
