Antennae Galaxies

An early antennae! My second image from the long weekend, the skies cleared to perfectly transparent just after midnight as I was planning to go to bed (I'd had no phone signal for 3 days, so no cloud forecasting to check). Was sleepy the next day!

Faintest objects are well below mag 20, so for what it's worth it's probably the deepest image I've managed so far, lots of little distant background galaxies and clusters. This is hopefully a 'work in progress', and I'd love to get more data to smooth out the background and tails - as it's an autumn object that's a possibility this year, but here's the first few hours of effort:

LRGB, 2 hours L, an hour of RGB, Atik 460EX. A larger view is here.

Yaaay Antennae season is back!

Yeah, a good start there Andy, you have most of the really faint stuff showing too, just a bit noisy. Good luck with the further collection

Thanks everyone for the friendly comments! Am definitely hoping for some more quality dark sky time to take this one deeper.
