NGC3372 - ho hum

I captured this during test runs for the new mount. Not a huge amount of data but its a bright little devil so given lack of clear skies at the moment I will take what I can get

Large
NGC3372 around Eta Carina

LRGB: 60,30,30,30

Tak FS60CB, ST2000XM, AP Mach1

I did do some decon on the LUM in PI, something I have never really been happy with as I am usually heavy handed but its not turned out too bad I think.

Thanks for looking

That's pretty good David for a quick test runs and shooting between clouds and busy moon. Plenty of nice detail in the nebula and the colour works well.

Nice colour and the stars are nice and round. An AP Mach 1 mount is a smart purchase. It should serve you very well.

Greg.

Thanks Greg. I just had the mount registered at AP following that forum post on stolen mounts and found out its from an early run in 2007 so doing a bit of accessorising. It's had all of the important upgrades over the years but a few bits and pieces to go. Now going through the incremental manuals to catch up..

Thanks for commenting. It's certainly an improvement over the last time I'd did this object 5 years ago.

That's a good first light from the new mount, David. You won't regret buying an AP
