My M42 from Snake Valley

Ok, Ok, it's not anywhere near as good as the shiny, in focus, top-notch M42's that are captured by you good folk, but it's my best so far, and because of that humble fact, I'm proud of it!

Taken on the last night of Camp (the night most went home because of the false forecast of storms).

ED80, wobbly EQ1, battery drive, Toucam in long exposure mode, 1 x 20 second image captured in Desire. some of the noise removed in Neat Image. No further processing done.

Well, I like it

Before it got processed.

Maybe someone can make it look a bit better. Here is the raw image to play with.

Hello and good effort Ken,nice to see another shot from you!(I told you your hooked now)
Ken I don't know anything about the camera you are using but having a guess I would say that turning down saturation in your software(If It has that ability) would help because 20 seconds should not saturate the core,so If that is a raw image you posted It would seem to me you could address that issue and reveal some core detail.
I think this would have to be done before you shoot the object because It's probably being saved like that.
If you need any help mate let me know and I'll do the best I can for you.

It a modified 840k Toucam Pro II. I'll have a go at turning the Saturation down next time.
Thanks Louie

Ken,

Once again, I'm amazed at what you guys are capable of grabbing with a $100 web cam.

Well done!

Regards,
Humayun
