I have a Takahashi MT160 Newtonian telescope that I am not using and deserves a home where it is being used
This is a used unit from my private telescope collection and I am the 2nd owner of this unit. I bought it six years ago from a member of the Morning Peninsula Astro Society
It is in a premium hand crafted Dob box made by specialist local hand craftsman that makes these Dob boxes for a local retailer
This unit also comes with an original Takahashi clamshell to enable it to be mounted on an equatorial mount if this is your preference
Optics are in fine condition, and performance is exactly what you would expect from Takahashi, as it they always provide excellent Canon Japanese optics as they do in all Takahashi telescopes do. This unit is no exception, the sharpness, detail, contrast and clarity are superb

Unit is in fine condition and suits someone wanting an exceptional telescope with the option of a dual Dob/ Clamshell capability connectivity with exceptional optics. Unit is 12 years old and the primary mirror does not need realuminising, as it has been cared for fastidiously as all my gear always is
Finderscope foot is already mounted on the OTA, as is a Telrad foot, both as seen in the images - if you want a Telrad and/ or a finderscope I have some spares available if you wish to option up
Selling as I am upgrading to a fully oil spaced CFF140 f6.5 SFPL55 Triplet refractor and this unit merely sits in my lounge unused
