Cleaning out the garage and my old VTR needs to go to a new home.
This bike was my daily commuter the last 15 plus years and on the current motor has racked up well over 100000 km on this motor.
After that many years figured it was time upgrade so de-registered it about 6 month ago.
Over all condition of this bike is poor so need work to put it back on the road.
Basic work required to put it back on the road (needs a good going over)
- Front Fork Seal/s (left hand side is leaking)
- Water Pump (before taking it off the road noted the water pump had a slow drip on cool down, have purchased the seals required to replace the pump
- Rear Brake Pads (have a new set floating around)
- Rear Tyre Leak (Rear tyre has picked up a nail)
- Battery (I have started it a few times sitting in the shed however i see the battery has not held charge so is currently flat)
Other?
- Front Rotor and Brake Pads (This is the 3rd rotor I have had on the bike and it just about worn out so will need to be replaced with a new one at some point)
- Tune up, tappets, plugs and filters. (needs a service)
The bike also comes two motors (must go with the bike) and printed workshop manual. The original motor died ~58000 due to a failed thermostat overheat blown head gasket (only good for parts). A few years back I purchased another motor just in case the current motor failed (never did) so has been sitting around.
