I've done that in the past on my mount but that was purely to shut the car up! My mount registered as someone sitting in the front passenger seat

Many years ago when I had a big heavy mount for my 12" it did concern me considerably that in any sort of mishap that I had a bunch of hefty missiles behind.

Since downsizing yes I do strap the hefty bits down with the seat belts.
