Sad Sell Up Day

I thought I would announce it here in case anyone wonders why I'm listing all my gear in the classifieds.

We were renting where my observatory was and decided to buy our own place. As our new place is in yellow heaven at night with sodium lights, I have unsuccessfully tried to find an alternative solution to place my observatory and all the new gear I bought to rebuild it.

So, with deep regret, I must sell everything as a solution is not forthcoming and it will be 12 - 15 years before I can move to a suitable location.

Nearly everything is brand new and has not even been turned on, boxes only opened for a look.

Thank you.

Huh ? Not considering it as portable to a dark sky site ?

I would have thought yours was pretty much an ideal setup.

Thanks guys.

I'm keeping my LX90 for visual so won't be too bad. As for portable, my back wont cope with that. I can barely mow the lawn sometimes, so not really an option.

Smile Opportunities will come ....

Sorry to hear of the situation Bart. It's a bummer. But never mind, often from adversity comes an opportunity. Take care, and hope all sorts out. Cheers.

Very sorry to hear about this. Hope your fortunes turnaround for you. The roll off roof shed look really good and the photos of the development were great - almost like blueprints on how to do it.

A sad stutter to your endeavours, but you are buying your own house! That's a positive.

Now you just need a cherry-picker, and some black spray cans of paint ....

Good old school solution, but there would be less traceable evidence with a drone and servo activated spray can.

Best
