NGC2070 (Tarantula) in Ha

Had a quick go at a bit of Ha imaging. Went for the good ol' Spider.
Only a very short run as it was more a test (testing is mostly what I do!)
Details:
Camera Atik One 6.0
Scope Stellarvue SV102T-IS (102mm at f5.6)
Mount Orion AZ/EQ G
Filter Astronomik Ha 12nm
Guiding OAG with Atik GP and PHD
Captured with SGP
6 x 120s
Processed in DSS and curves and levels in PS CC 2015

For 12 minutes of Ha the nebulosity is showing up quite nicely Malcolm

Nice! I like how it shows a lot of the features you see visually that are usually lost in post processing - the dark 'bar' that bisecsts it, and the twin lobes above that. V nice. Any plans to gather more data in other wavelengths?

At this stage it was really very much an experiment to see what can be done. Plan was to have data to look at creating an HaLRGB blend. I have data in LRGB but putting it all together is proving challenging for my processing skills!! (to say the least)
Anyway, onwards and upwards!!
