Which mount to choose?

It looks like i might be able soon to afford a new high end mount.
Choices !!!

I am looking at either an

AP 1100 gto with encoders

ASA DDM 60 Pro or a

Tak EM 400 Temma II

I will be using these in the field as i am not able to construct an observatory for a few years but still want that option. The above all operate with 12v DC. AT the moment i am using a SW AZEQ which is going ok but ota/camera etc are getting close to 18kg

10 Micron at 24v and the SB at 48v i don't think are options.

What are your opinions, pros and of cons.

Cheers

Hi George,

My AP900 hasn't skipped a beat even carrying more than it's rated capacity and I've been very happy with it. The shared scope I'm using in California is on a AP1600 and it has been very reliable also. I don't have any significant experience with ASA or Tak...

Cheers,
Rick.

I have the AP 1100 and I love it. For such a high end mount it is simple to use and as Rick said has not missed a beat. Beautiful mount or as I used to say to my neighbour on a daily basis "an engineering masterpiece".
