Face to face with the devil. Sh2 173

[Fabiomax (Fabiomassimo)]

Sh2 173 Emission Nebula in Cassiopeia.
Acquisition with DSO, my remote observatory located in Manciano.
This nebula which I found not so bright it took me a bit of work because the nebula is surrounded by a rich field of stars. I have so tried to keep the color of the stars while not giving the weaker parts to issue. Of course I have also reduced our impact of the stars to highlight a little better the structure of the nebula. It seems that the nebula is about 8800 light years trovia in the Perseus arm .... well, far enough away!

Wow some great colour there Fabiomax! I see the Devil like face... but it reminds me more of the Muppet Sweetums

Thank you! in fact I'm having fun in trying more and more hours of posing in color even in subjects emitting Halpha!
