1st light with a quark

Hi,

Finally managed to set up my new Quark Chromosphere. I purchased a Televue Sol-searcher and a 32mm plossl to go with it.

The Sol-searcher worked well and it was easy to find the sun. As I waited for the Quark to warm up it clouded over and by the time the green light came on there was thick cloud everywhere.

I couldn't see anything through the Quark and figured it was because of the clouds so packed up.

As I packed up I noticed that I had left the endcap on the Quark...

Maybe next time ....

I did this myself today with my Quark! Took me a minute to figure out why I only saw a soft glow in eyepiece ...

I hope your second light goes better

Alex .
