Corona Australis Nebulae from QLD Astrofest

Globular cluster NGC 6723, reflection nebulae NGC 6726 and 6727 and lots of dusty stuff, all within the constellation Corona Australis. 1hr and 50min of data, taken through my 127mm refractor using the CDS1100D camera. Stacked in DSS and processed in CS3.

Saw your name and thought; 'Gee, haven't heard from you for a while'.
A masterful way to announce your return. It's very pleasing to look at, and I hadn't really stopped to look at how the dust hangs a strong 'right' turn behind the reflection nebs 'til now. Interesting stuff.
Enjoyed the image much.
Well done.

The night the Green Fairy visited, she distracted me so much that I totally didn't notice that I hadn't included the Globular cluster in the FOV.
But I've since thrown all the data into the pot and came up with this image.
3hrs worth of subs now.
I'm pretty happy with it, but it's given me the inspiration to really try this again without the absinthe.

Despite what Marc says green and astro imaging do not mix

The new image looks very smooth, JJJ

This is a preconception. Everything green is harmless. It's only a matter of concentration
