Why can't I post in the classified section?

I've been a member for several years, messaged, and bought stuff. When I go to post an item for sale it says I don't have the right privileges!

Hi Steve, there is a minimum number of posts required to use the classifieds. Posts responding to others classifieds do not count for the total.

from the terms of service:

New members wishing to place ads in the IceTrade Classifieds must be a member for at least 1 month, and have made at least 5 posts in any part of the forum. This does not impact new members' ability to buy items, including replying to threads or sending Private Messages to users.

evidently, its the number of posts, not the time
