Today was Snake Valleys 'Rally in the Valley' with stalls inside and outside, Hot Rods, Dog Show, etc. You know, a small country town 'Fair'.
Our 'Snake Valley Astronomical Association' held a stall giving views of the Sunspots.
We had lots of interest in the Scopes and Binocs and quite a few people had a look at the Sun & Sunspots thru the ED80 with a Solar Filter. Most commented on how the spots made a line of dots across the surface (atleast I know they were seeing them)
Many of the SVAA members came along too including Terry (Spudrick) who brought his whole family up for the day. (Terry is now broke coz his wife bought a truck load of plants)
All up, the day was great! I am very sunburnt but I thouroughly enjoyed it. Bit strange being sunburnt doing astronomy
Here is our simple but effective stand: (the tall bloke on the left is Anthony the SVAA President)
