ngc3576 from Atacama

Hello guys !

We've seen many pictures of this wonderful object on this forum.
Congrats everyone

We've shot it as well, from our observatory in Chile.
Here it is, in HaLRGB... hope you'll enjoy this one

Technical informations:
- APO observatory in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile - Alain Maury's Space Obs
- Takahashi TOA 150 refractor
- mini-OHP mount with MCMT
- Apogee Alta U16M camera
- Astrodon Ha L R G B Gen2 filters
- L=24x20' - R=G=B=6x20' and Ha=24x40'
- shooting, guiding and preprocess: Prism v9
- process: IRIS, PRISM v9 & CS6

Gooday, The APO Team,

Another great image of this region that is different to the others beforehand, your image has a 3D look about it, that makes the nebula really stand out from the background.

That is one nice region! I really like the softness to image and the sheer number of stars! Really nicely done

Glad you like it.
I think the Ha adds something here, maybe this 3d effect you're talking about Bill...
We've sometimes added some Ha to our LRGB pictures and it was always positive and quite different from a standard LRGB !

This is a lovely natural colour image, beautiful field with lovely stars ...ummm?..very different to my recent take on the bit in the centre
