This months (Nov/Dec) Sky&Space

Looking good after my first brief flick through.. The mag is really coming along after a few dull patches about 6 months ago. Finally getting my moneys worth out of the subscription

When's the aussie version of S&T gonna come out?
I heard it was going to be in Dec or something?

be good to have our own version, more local content and relevant to our needs.

Hey Ice is that the one with Eta Carina in it? If so, it has a great article about the aformentioned star. Very interesting, never knew that it was comprised of a binary system. Has anyone else read this edition, any thoughts?

I don't think so Paul, if my memory serves me, I think that was 2 issues ago.

There's a great lengthy article in the current issue about how stars form and die though.. lots of reading there.. for now i've just skimmed the pages and looked at the pretty pictures.. hoping to get some time tonight to actually read and learn!

Just got the mag today and that is a great review on the wide field eyepieces .
Hope they do one on the Orion epic ed , lanthiums and others in that style of eyepieces . The ones with 20mm eye relief over the range and 55-60degs AFOV and some form of exotic glass in them , as there appears to be quite a range to chose from now from cheap to expensive .

Two issues ago? We just got it here in Adelaide, bought the same copy 4 days ago when I sent the previous reply. Not only are we months behind the US, but Adelaide is months behind everyone else. Might have to start getting a subscription.

The subscription is really worth it.. I'd definitely get one.

Gets delivered to my mailbox on time every 2 months!

I would have to agree Paul, I get sick of reading articles that i thought i had read before in sky and space, But at least it is a local magazine even if i feel like its ground hog day .

It just depends what they have in the local S&T.. if it's just going to be the same as the american content with a few local ads, it's not really going to be worth it if you already subscribe to the US S&T.
