Does anyone have any experience with them? I can get an ED100 and mount from them for less than it would cost me to get the ED80 locally. By quite a reasonable amount.

Pete's great! I've bought an NEQ6, EQ8 and a Halpha filter off him with no problems.

The counterweights were missing from the EQ8 and he hand-delivered them to my wife's work even though we didn't mind picking them up. Nice guy!

goodness me though the first page i scrolled down to at astro petes i saw the celestron f6.3 reducer for $359, reduced from $559!!!!...... wtf mate? is that right?

Part of a dying breed of trusted retailers. I bought my scope and all accessories from Pete. I would do the same again, particularly considering the honesty and helpful nature of the guy. Prices are great. The coffee rounds off a pleasant shopping experience. Just think, would you operate a cafe at your store if you wanted just to grab their money and run. Remind you of other retailers? Nice one Pete.

I would highly recommend Astro Pete's, he's a great guy to deal with. I have bought a number of OTA's, c/weights and other accessories which were at least a half to two thirds the price of his competitors.

Like others, I've bought a number of accessories from Astro Pete, including eyepieces, dovetails, and an AZ3 and an EQ2 at bargain-basement prices. I've always been very happy with the advice and prices.

As for the price of the Celestron Reducer - I saw that as well, and did a double-take. I'm guessing that is based on current official Celestron USA pricing to him plus mark-up, impacted by the devaluation of the AU$. (Note that the item is listed as being on Back-Order.) I bought my reducer elsewhere.
