Black eq5pro

Hi guys and gals I was wondering if anyone knows if the black eq5pro is definitely the older one and what they would be worth and if I should avoid them.
I've been offered one for $650 but it seems a little steep for an old model.
Or am I being a little harsh?
Also I was looking at the star adventure and ioptron equatorial heads and similar as thier mobility appeals to me but are they worth the 400 plus bucks
Any help would be appreciated cheers Brad

Hi,

The first thing you should decide is does it match your requirement. Will it be able to accommodate the ota you have for imaging, visual etc, otherwise it doesn't matter how cheap or expensive it is.

Cheers
Paul

Mount

Thanks mate yeah forgot to mention that it's for wide field imaging 80mm scopes and zoom lenses.
It gets hard carrying and setting up the NEQ6.
So yeah looking for something light.
But if these small mounts are more trouble than their worth I probably shouldn't bother.
Cheers Brad
