Mars Jupiter & Saturn - 20-04-16

A quick merge of last nights planet shots - my first ever look at Mars!

all are best 10% frames from ~40sec of movie taken on my canon 6D + 5x powermate. Stacked in registax.

I was in a rush last night and the tracking was bad, so the quality isn't that great. Need to have a cloudfree night when the toddler doesn't scream all night and wont let me image.

Nice pics Martin,
we had a group at Mt Stromlo Observatory last night viewing these three through sucker holes in my 18" F5.5 (at 365X) and three Meade LXs.

That's an amazing shot, you must be so proud! Such a rare conjunction. What happened? I'd love to se the disc of mars cross jupiter, or jupiter cross the disc of saturn.
