Nice FOV sucking in that much of the "foot" Peter. Really showing off what that gear can do.
How much data/time out of interest?

Ka Powee! That's got punch, hold on while I get my sunglasses
Looks really terrific Peter.
I'm gobsmakked how you do such nice LRGB under light pollution.
Would you considered writing a tutorial and sharing your technique?

I have given talks on urban imaging at both Sydney Observatory and the Mudgee Star party....but as I have mentioned earlier it comes down to maximising signal, while minimising noise. Counterintuitively that also means long subs with large apertures.
As for a tutorial...I have a bit on my plate at present. RASNZ have asked me to be the judge ( ) for their astro-photo competition across the pond.
Maybe after that is done....

Well... one and a half...I was a bit lazy with the overlap.

Lots of nice stuff in that area...and if you want to bang out just the one image for an evening...bright and easy works for me.

Excellent stuff Peter. Big field, good definition, iridescent colour, interesting object. What more would you want?

A shrubbery would be nice.
(this will make absolutely no sense if you are not a Python fan)

That's a magnificent photo. The right way to do it - leaving the darkest bits dark (rather than trying to diagramatically show every last photon the scope collected) produced a dramatic, striking image.
By showing what can be done, you've inspired us to consider a shot of just the "toes" which is about all that would fit our FOV.
