New Lens canon 75-300

When in Sydney I was shopping for a 400d fortunately I held off but in the haggling I picked up this lens for $180-00 I recon it will be great for some wide field and puts off the day for the eq6, which puts off the 400d and a triplet 80 ...anyways it raining so I took a shot to show the ins and outs of the lens showing the fields of view. So I recon it will be a cheap yet effective set up. Second hand 300d (mine ), 75-300 lens capture, 70x600mm ar guide scope and eq5 mount manual guide motor drive. The mount should be up to it as its (cam etc) light and I can reduce the local length if there are noticeable tracking errors.. So next dark sky I will see what I can bag.

I have that lens, Alex.. it works fine for most stuff. It's not the sharpest lens in the pack but for the price it's not bad.

I am not the sharpest person in the world and I am certainly not one of the richest etc I have a long way to go before I can fairly blame the lens its more likey my focus will let it down not the other way around .

And...Drolled over a 400mm canon lens got excited because I read $1550 but looking closer $15500 was the money.. I feel happy because was only in Sydney for a short time I had no idea of what they sold for and had a mental limit of $300 so I cant complain.
