Scope getting to heavy to carry

I am getting a bit long in the tooth (old) to carry my 10" meade SCT, I has anyone made a harness to carry this type of scope
I have to carry mine down a few steps to mount it in the back yard and are worried that I might over balance while carrying and it is getting heavier every year

I have a similar problem with added leg problem.
Could you set up a 4 wheel dolly to strap it onto.

I assume that you are talking about the tube only, so thinking outside the
box, could you make up a simple cradle made of cloth, and lower it out of
a window. A 10" SCT is not that heavy, so I imagine that you could also
haul it up that way, unless you are seriously frail.

I have used a trolley with a child's booster seat to wheel a C11 around including up and down a few steps. You could probably transport a fork mounted 10" or the OTA alone in a similar fashion. Or dump the scope and buy a Celestron Evolution.

Store it in a box/case with rounded edges and corners, skull drag the box out the door and down the stairs

Attach it to a drone or maybe a bunch of balloons.
Get someone to give you a hand
Get your missus to carry it downstairs and hold onto her to stop her falling.
Install a chair lift with a mount baseplate
Sign up to a gym.
I remember when I was about 21 and had to do an initiative training camp to get my chiefs buttons. ( HMSRoyal Arthur if anyone is ex Royal Navy)
To get this barrel of concrete to the top of this cliff, a guy carried it up. Except it was attached to a rope and we all hauled on the rope..
If you had a winch, you could do much the same thing. You wouldn't be carrying it, just guiding it.

I use a modded wheel barrow to carry my heavy 16".

I made a simple strap based on one seen on the LX200Yahoo forum.
Just 2 big hooks on the end of a seatbelt material strap, and some some more seatbelt material made into loops on the forks.
Very easy to connect and use, BUT, if you are already unsteady, and use something like this, if you do go over, the scope will stay stuck to you :-)

Do you have a ground level shed or garage that might be a suitable storage area? I keep my 8" Dob on a cart. I lift it off the cart at the observation location. I could add feet to the cart so I could level it up and not have to lift it off.

They make carts for Cats and such too.

Another seemingly simple solution might be a backpackers pack? They seem pretty roomy and are padded well. Easy on and off from a table, just have to work out what is easiest at the mount.
