I believe Canon discontinued this model early in 2013 as I was chasing one then through a major camera retailer in Brisbane and they advised that they were no longer produced.

As Brian has indicated - Canon discontinued them in 2013 - which is a pity as they were agreat camera at a reasonable price to start out on the AP of DSOs.

So your only hope of obtaining one is second hand. Having said that you will need to keep a sharp eye out as they haven't come up very often on the second hand market. Amazon and eBay may be your best bets.

To my knowledge the only AP purpose built DSLR on the market at the moment is the Nikon D810a.

As you can see from the link they are a tad pricy (but are full frame)

David,

Set up a notification on eBay. I have seen them come up from time to time.

I'll keep an eye out for you if you like.

I wouldn't bother. Just get hold of a used 550D/600D/650D/1100D and mod it yourself. It's not difficult if you follow Gary Honis' instructions.

I bought mine 18 months ago from BecexTech Australia. They had it shipped from Hong Kong. The genuine article, I registered it with Canon, it came with all the exta cables and 240 volt adaptor.
Cheers
Chris
