Nice one Brent. Nice and smooth. I thought that Lunt of yours was an F7 though? Barlowed?

Did you end up getting the LP filter?

Keep at it

Hi David,

Yeah, Barlowed, 2" lens on nose piece. About halves the FOV. But makes the exposure about 3 x as long.
LP filter, not yet. I saw Optolong CLS (?) for about $135 Au. not sure if it is comparable to Astronomik CLS. Still experimenting, we've hada bout 5 nights in a row clear skies so I'm getting sleep deprived collecting photons while I can.

Nice picture.
However, it seems barlow is not helping much, there is some coma and some CA in the corners. I can't say more because the image is resized.
Maybe the loss of resolution intruduced by Barlow is actually worse than what it would be without it at all?

Yes, agreed but 'needs more work' as the saying goes.
I've been fighting with the rest of the system, pier, alignment etc and having finally got that sorted need to concentrate more on the optical issues. Looks like this is going to keep me amused for YEARS !!!

Thanks guys for the honest comments....

Was cloudy for the 6th if that is any consolation Mike.
