A newly discovered planetary nebula

This planetary is designated Try 3 and was only discovered in January. Needless to say it is pretty faint so don't expect a spectacular image. To save time I binned everything 2x2. As far as the size is concerned it is about one arc-minute across.

Cheers

Steve

Nicely done Steve. PN is clearly visible, even some structure.

Definitely there! At first I thought it was a finger print on my laptop screen due to having a west facing window behind me
Nicely captured on such a faint sucker!

Nice capture, Steve! I'm working on some data for EGB6 which is also very faint.

Cheers,
Rick.

Love this "off the well worn track stuff" especially such a newly discovered object.
Great image Steve.

Thanks Mike. Sakib is a great source for the obscure stuff which as you know is my preference. Basic automation isn't that hard if you have someone to open and close the roof/dome for you. Having the backyard is nice and convenient even with the light pollution.

Nice one Steve--going for the hard ones is always satisfying when they work out like this one did. Not surprising that it isn't on the list of long-known objects.

Thanks Paul. I almost gave up on it because 2 hours unbinned showed virtually nothing. Binning 2x2 improved matters considerably though.

Thanks Markus. It's probably the faintest thing I've ever imaged.
