Mike Sidonio article in latest S & T magazine

In the latest issue of (April) Sky and Telescope there is an article on Mikes dwarf galaxy discovery.

Good on ya Mike.

Cheers

I've replied to Mike via PM, but to let everyone else know this was the US version of S&T.

US Sky & Telescope, Page 12.

"GALAXIES | Aussie Amateur Finds Dwarf". Written by J. Kelly Beatty. Article takes the top half of the page.

I absolutely agree.
It shall be known as....
NGC 253-dw2.the Sidonio Gallaxy

And if this can not be so I have no idea as why.

Great stuff Mike
Your biography is sure to run three volumes
And really your story would make a great movie.... Seriously
Its great to see these things unfold.
I could see a speaking tour for example
Your achievement was momentous

Well done Mike - on both counts (discovery & articles) - and a nice bit of icing on the cake.

Cheers, Chris

Ha ha chees guys it's proved a rather popular smudge, so ...Anthony has his black spot and I have a smudge

While I've had a couple'a images published, this is only my second article in US S&T...the first one was waaay back in 1987

That's a good article as well Mike. Ektachrome 400, those were the days.

The advert for Compuserve brings back memories, I used to use them for bulletin board access with my superfast 1200 baud modem around that year.

I also doubt that Murrumbateman is a dark site now.

Cheers

Bill
